West Donegal Sea-Angling Charters offers you the chance to sail and fish off Donegal, on Europe's most scenic and rugged coastline.

Charter boats are available from May to October for day long trips, from 10.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Prices range from €420 per day. Rod and Reel hire is also available.

Fishing
Sea angling is a thrilling sport. Around the Donegal coast you can fish for Shark, Conger Eel and many other species.

The Islands
Some of the larger islands, such as Arranmore, Owey and Tory Island have majestic cliff faces rising from the sea to 160 metres. Animal and birdlife abound. Smaller islands, like Rutland, Inishfree and Gola have sandy beaches which are peaceful, secluded places to go for swimming, walking, picnics etc. The islands offer good fishing areas and sheltered fishing grounds away from strong winds so fishing can take place on most days regardless of wind direction.

Diving
The Loinnir is also available for day or half day charters. There are many shipwrecks, including wreck from the Spanish Armada, located along the Donegal coastline. Explore coastal and offshore wreck sites, caves, caverns, reefs, cliff faces, gullies and a large reef rising to half water depth to form a plateau type shape. Rare fish species can be seen and the seabed is level for miles around.

The Vessel
The Loinnir is an Aqua Star 43' boat built to the highest specifications for deep sea angling with the maximum Department of the Marine Safety Licence of 40 miles.
The Loinnir is fully insured for 12 anglers and 2 crew, and is Irish Tourist Board approved. Powered by a 428hp Volvo Turbo Charged engine with a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 17-18 knots. The speed offers the Angler more time for fishing and the option of moving quickly to other marks.
